The Mad River Valley Chamber of Commerce, Mad River Glen, Mad River Valley TV and Sugarbush Resort have agreed to collaborate on a weekly TV show that will be live streamed simultaneously to the Mad River Glen and Sugarbush Resort Facebook pages. It will also be re-broadcast to Channels 44 (SD) and 244 (HD) on Waitsfield Cable and be licensed for potential re-broadcast to the 24 other public access TV centers across the state of Vermont. The show, which will rotate between the Castlerock Pub at Sugarbush and General Starks Pub at Mad River Glen, will also be available on the MRVTV YouTube channel. The pilot is scheduled to be live streamed on Thursday, December 19th at 9AM.
Last year Mad River Valley TV live streamed Mad River Glen Today, a weekly show broadcast to the Mad River Glen Facebook page and MRVTV YouTube channel. Across 16 episodes the show, hosted by Eric Friedman, generated over 42,000 views. The program was also named a first place winner in the Alliance for Community Media (ACM) Northeast Video Festival.
The new show will be hosted by Eric Friedman, Executive Director of the Chamber, and be co-hosted by John Bleh, Public Relations Manager at Sugarbush, and Ry Young, Marketing & Events Manager at Mad River Glen. "This is a great way to bring our community together in a fun and informative way. We are excited to tell the stories of the people that make the Mad River Valley so special”, said Eric Friedman.
